Headingley Development Trust:

runs a range of enterprises, including the Farmers’ Market, Headingley Homes, and HEART – the community, business and arts centre;

set up and run by Headingley residents in 2005, it now has over 1,000 members.

HDT HGV count

August 2018 Report:

Over a 14 hour period from 6am to 8pm in August 2018 we observed just short of 680 HGVs, 365 traveling towards the city centre and a further 312 in the Lawnswood direction. There are over 5 hours in the day when an HGV passes through Headingley at a rate equivalent to a lorry every single minute in the hour.

HEART

HEART is the community, business and arts centre on Bennett Road in the centre of Headingley. It was set up by HDT and opened in 2011, in the old Bennett Road School building which was completely refurbished and imaginatively extended.

HEART’s vision was to create a vibrant and welcoming space for a wide range of people.
